Colby's New Haircut

4th of July
We had a nice time here in Provo for the 4th of July. We missed being with everyone. The kids especially missed the swimming. We had all the gang over at our house: Nancy, Tupous, Weights, Tuitupous, and Orozcos. It was a fun evening of eating, playing, and fireworks. No one stuck around this year to watch the Stadium of Fire, so it was just us five camped out in the street. (We only took a few pictures)

Ten Days of Fun
From the Roderick Reunion in Idaho to Skamania Lodge to a fun 4th of July weekend with the family....here are a few photos of good times. Two dates for you all to remember: August 27th-- Macy's Blessing Day, followed by checking in at Sunriver and Oct 11th-- 70th Anniversary party in Eugene (with family photos). We'll talk more about that at Sunriver.
Chad leaves early Tuesday morning--and his family is anxiously awaiting his arrival (oh, and Disneyland, too).
We will probably have a new driveway next time you come. Have a great week, everyone!

New Macy Pics
Here are some more pictures of Macy. She's changed so much in the past 5 weeks, and it's so hard to choose the cutest pictures, so here are a whole bunch we've taken. By the time you all see her at Sunriver, she'll probably look totally different again. She's turning into a little chunk -rolls on her thighs and a double chin.
5 days old
1 week old (showing team spirit)
Nearly 2 weeks old (she found her thumb!)
3 weeks old
4 weeks (ready for her first trip to church)

Kyle's family update
Summer is finally here in Sherwood. It took a while. Jen and the kids have been going non-stop since school got out June 11. Swim lessons for everyone last week and this week. They are all getting to be great swimmers. Kinsley and I went on the daddy/daughter campout last weekend and we rode our bikes onto the ferry across the Willamette River. Kinsley is a good camper and an outstanding smores chef. Caden had basketball camp and finished up his baseball season by striking out the side. Now Caden starts soccer practice today. Quinn has been trying out his new skateboard, but I think he likes wearing the helmet and the elbow, knee and wrist pads (body armor) as much as he likes skating. Quinn is getting really tall and really fast. Cameron’s birthday is Sunday and he chose fruit, baked potatoes and broccoli for his birthday dinner. Cameron keeps us laughing with his jokes, songs and super-hero outfits. Jennifer has the house, yard and garden looking great. She has been keeping a hectic schedule with all of the kids’ activities, primary president work, soccer coaching and organizing summer education time for the kids. She is amazing. We are looking forward to July and all the fun!

Logan and his tonsils
Logan had his tonsils removed on Tuesday. He has done remarkably well. Today was the first day he did a little complaining. Other than that, you wouldn't know anything happened. He has been eating a lot of popsicles and ice cream. Vanilla milkshakes have been the best thing so far. Colby was worried she might have to get hers out, but she's now convinced herself that she won't have to go through it.
Here are a couple pics:

Baby Macy
Macy is finally here! She was born on Friday, May 23rd at 7:33pm, at 7.0 lbs and 20 3/4" long. I went in that morning to be induced, as she was stubbornly staying inside me past her due date. They started my pitocin at about 7:30am and she was born 12 hours later. The 12 hours went by pretty quickly, and the actually delivery was short with no complications. She's already proving that she's above average, as she scored a 9/10 on the APGAR. My doctor even said "she's honestly one of the cutest babies I've seen in a long time." I like to believe she doesn't say that to every mother. After 2 days at home now, she's still doing great (with a few frustrating spells). Mom has stayed with us for the last 2 nights, which has been greatly appreciated. We're so lucky to have both of our families so close to help with anything we need. Luke's mom is coming to stay with us tonight. Here are some of her first pictures. I'm sure we'll have lots more to add over the next few months.
